If your team already works in Notion and wants a free place to write decisions down, a Notion template is the better choice: no new tool, and it sits beside your docs. Choose Decize if decisions happen in email and nobody goes back to record outcomes, because Decize captures Cc’d and forwarded email and asks owners how it went.

What Notion decision log template is

Notion is a workspace for docs, wikis and databases, priced per member. Its template marketplace includes free decision logs, such as “Decision Log for Teams,” a creator-made template described as a structured log with a high-impact feed and a “Log a Decision” form. You add it to your workspace and adapt it.

Side by side

How decisions get capturedDecize: Forward or Cc an email to your workspace address, type it in plain language, or import a document. Decize drafts the fields and saves the record.Notion decision log template: Someone fills in the template’s “Log a Decision” form or adds an entry to the Notion database.
Follows up on outcomesDecize: Deadline reminders, then an outcome email about two weeks after its deadline (or after it was logged, if it has none), except in a few cases, such as a replaced decision. It goes to the owner, or to whoever logged it by email or in the web app. Tap an answer, then Save; no login.Notion decision log template: Not described on the template page. You can build reminders with Notion database automations, which are a paid-plan feature.
Forecasts and calibrationDecize: Optional confidence on each decision, in words, counted only once a person confirms it. Notion databases take custom properties, so you could add fields; any scoring is up to you.
