Decize vs Loqbooq

Their public pages were read on September 21, 2026. Tell us if something has changed.

Loqbooq is no longer available: its own site says it was discontinued in September 2024. If Slack capture was the reason you used it, Decize is not a like-for-like replacement, because it has no Slack app yet. Decize suits teams whose decisions happen in email and who want outcomes followed up.

What Loqbooq was

Loqbooq was a decision log from Coding Friends GmbH, built around Slack. Teams recorded decisions with /loqbooq add, reviewers approved them with one click, and approved decisions were stored permanently and unalterably. Its site now says it was discontinued in September 2024 and remains for reference only.

Side by side

AvailabilityDecize: Available now, as a young beta product.Loqbooq: Discontinued in September 2024, per its own site. Its farewell post asked users to export their data before August 31.
How decisions got capturedDecize: Forward or Cc an email to your workspace address, type it in the app, or import a document. No Slack app yet.Loqbooq: A /loqbooq add command in a Slack channel, or the web app. Its footer also listed a Webex integration.
Changing a recorded decisionDecize: A decision that replaces or reverses an earlier one is logged as a new record, and once a person confirms, the earlier one keeps its reasoning, marked Replaced, with a link to the new one. The ledger shows what is still in force. Status, owner and deadline are edited in place, and owners and managers can delete a decision outright.Loqbooq: Stored unalterably once every reviewer approved, with a digital fingerprint anyone could validate.
Follows up on outcomesDecize: Deadline reminders, then an outcome email about two weeks after its deadline (or after it was logged, if it has none), except in a few cases, such as a replaced decision. It goes to the owner, or to whoever logged it by email or in the web app. Tap an answer, then Save; no login.Loqbooq: Reminded people about decisions they had not yet reviewed. No outcome follow-up was described.
Forecasts and calibrationDecize: Optional confidence on each decision, in words, counted only once a person confirms it. The dashboard’s calibration chart and the Brier score need the team to have recorded 50 outcomes; the Brier score is on Business and also needs 5 decisions with a confirmed confidence and an outcome.Loqbooq: Not described.
Pricing modelDecize: Per decision, never per seat: $0 for 10 a month, $99 for 50, $249 for 200. Unlimited people on every plan.Loqbooq: Last published: Startup free (3 logs, 3 reviewers per decision), Pro $2.99 per active user a month, non-profits $1.59.
Hosting and privacyDecize: Every member reads the whole ledger. Decision text is sent to Google Gemini, with Anthropic as a fallback; TypeSafe also reads emailed outcome replies when optional AI evaluation is switched on. No SOC 2 yet.Loqbooq: Hosted in Europe and described as GDPR compliant, with encryption at rest plus column-level encryption in its database.
Getting your data outDecize: Full ledger as CSV, and as PDF 150 decisions at a time, on every plan, Free included.Loqbooq: PDF and CSV export.

If you used Loqbooq

  • Loqbooq is not an option for new or existing teams: it was discontinued in September 2024.
  • If Slack capture is essential, choose a tool with a working Slack app today; Decize does not have one.
  • If records must be unalterable after sign-off, look for a tool built on immutable records.

Choose Decize if

  • Your team’s decisions happen in email and you want them captured by forwarding or Cc.
  • You want owners reminded before deadlines and asked how each decision turned out.
  • You want unlimited people on a price set by decision volume rather than active users.
  • You have past decisions written down elsewhere: paste the document into Import, on any plan, and approve them row by row.

Forward the email. Keep the decision.
